The Hands and Heart Behind Vermont Simple Life
I’m Glenn. My wife Erin and I chose Vermont not just as a place to live, but as a place to build a life around making things. From the woodshop to the art studio, from the barn to the back forty, this is our version of a life well lived.
Vermont Simple Life is the hub for everything I create, the place where all of it connects.
The Work
In the woodshop, I build custom heirloom furniture through Brown Dogs Woodworking. In the studio upstairs, I paint. Contemporary acrylic work across a wide range of subjects, where simplicity and open interpretation drive every piece. Vermont Art Panels came out of that work, bringing my art to other artists and creators. And through Henley’s Vermont Simple Life, I write and illustrate children’s books, comics, and coloring pages inspired by our dog and our daily life here.
Why This Exists
The simple life isn’t always easy. It’s early mornings, constant building, and unpredictable seasons. I built this to share that reality, the raw, the rustic, and the rewarding.
